Why Do So Few People Succeed In MLM?
“Good question!”
The one big reason so many people fail in MLM or Network Marketing is simply because they start their MLM business with unrealistic expectations of what it takes to succeed, plain and simple!
In this article I am going to outline one of the main reasons (expectations) that 95% of all network marketers fail! There’s certainly more than one reason why most people fail to achieve success in a network marketing company but see if the one reason I write about here sounds familiar to you.
And oh yeah…I’m also going to suggest something that could eliminate this as a reason for failure. It may even be something your upline knows but isn't sharing with you!
Ready?
Most new MLM reps attend an opportunity meeting or a home party or view a business presentation on DVD and get all excited and sign up! They don't sign up because they understand the company, its products, or the compensation plan! They sign up simply because they’re excited…period!
Excitement!
It’s an emotion! And we’ve all heard about what happens when decisions are made based on emotion. They’re probably not the best decisions we’ll ever make, unless the emotion is fear and it’s telling you to run like crazy because something bad is about to happen to you…you know, fight or flight! That may be the only emotion worth basing a decision on! But a business decision? Probably not! Maybe want to rethink that decision when the emotions are not running quite so high…I’m just sayin'…J
And then they’re encouraged to make a list of all their friends and family and told to call them all up and either invite them to a home party or some hotel to view the same presentation that got them all excited in the hopes they will too will get all excited and sign up under them. All this is usually done in the new reps first 24 to 48 hours of being a new rep! Sound familiar? It does to us too!
Then once they’ve gone half way through their list and heard a whole bunch of “…no thanks, not interested!” or “…I’ve tried those deals before, they never work…” or someone they love and respect says “no way!…I can’t believe you’re in one of those things…” their excitement begins to evaporate and along with it their reason for wanting to start their own Home-Based MLM business. Bet that sounds familiar too, doesn’t it?
The Solution
Well, what if when they signed up to become a rep with the XYZ Network Marketing Company, they were introduced to a marketing system that didn’t require them to call all their friends or family and didn’t require them to make a list of everyone they know and then invite them to attend an opportunity meeting? Sound too good to be true? Believe me, it’s not! And it’s no secret that more and more network marketers are finding out about this very same system everyday!
