You’re on the internet looking for information about MLM companies and trying to figure out which one is the best one for you to join, right?

Maybe you’ve been pitched on joining an MLM company by a friend a co-worker or a family member. Maybe you’ve been unsuccessful in MLM before but current economic conditions have opened you to looking at doing MLM again to create some additional cash flow.

Whatever the case, I have some shocking information about what you need to know before joining an MLM…are you ready?

OK, here it is…There are only about 3 things you need to know before joining an MLM company!

Here’s #1

Pick a company that has a product or service that you can get behind and have a passion for!

Of the 4,800+ MLM companies out there, you can eliminate the vast majority of them if you simply look for the one that markets what you want to market. For example, if you’re a health conscious person, look for MLM companies with health-focused products and be ready to use those products on a regular basis!

If you want to lose weight, find a nutritional company that offers a weight loss product and use the product yourself.

If you’re into technology maybe a communications company would work for you but remember, you’ll need to be using your new MLM company’s phone service, cell phone and maybe internet service and whatever other service they provide before you can effectively market those same services to your target market.

If it’s travel that floats your boat, pardon the pun, then be sure you’re ready to do some travelling via your new MLM travel company so you can talk about the great deal you got and how much money you saved.

You're looking to develop a passion for the products you represent and that can only happen if you’re using them! Remember, it’s your passion that other people are really looking for when you talk to them.

Look for who’s making money in the MLM company you chose and talk to them about how they did it, what they did and decide if you can do it too!

All MLM companies have compensation plans that take time to understand. I’ve found simply asking “…how do I get paid?” is the best way early on to learn a comp plan. Once you know what you have to do to make money in the company the next step is to jump onboard!

Do I use traditional MLM Marketing methods or online using Social Media and Attraction Marketing? Or both?

Traditional MLM marketing techniques still work and lots of people build MLM businesses using home parties, hotel events, the 3 foot rule etc. However, more and more network marketers are using Attraction Marketing and Social Media techniques online than ever before and more network marketers are moving online everyday!

What’s right for you?

Maybe you’ll just have to get started and learn as you go! After all, not many top money earners in MLM understood the compensation plan or reached the top of the first MLM company they joined! Success in MLM (like anything else) is a process determined largely by the impassioned efforts of the individual and not by the company they chose its products or its comp plan!
