A Purity 12 Dialog (Part 1) …How Not To Promote Your MLM!
I Recently received an email from someone on my Facebook page with a request to take a look at their new MLM company, Purity12 and its products. In fact, it was so much more than a simple request that I decided to copy and paste the entire back-and-forth email dialog right here in this two-part article so you, the reader, can see exactly why this approach almost never works and then I’m going to demonstrate for you what would have really gotten my attention (and maybe even my business)!
Before we get started, let me say that I am not familiar with the MLM company Purity 12 or its products, and except for the email exchange I write about here, I know nothing about Mike, the guy who sent me the email, other than he says we have a mutual friend.

Message # 1 Initial Contact
Dan, we have a mutual friend in david wood. Im not sure how you know him but i want to introduce you to a new company called purity12. We are an internet affiliate company in the health and wellness/ beauty product industry. The company is headed up by the vankomen brothers, ken forrest, ricky frank, and chad wade. we are to these industries as amazon is to books. We are just starting up and i want you to take a look at the company and let me know what ya think. my site is purity12army.com go there do your due dilligence on our company and get back with me one way or the other. This is called “Leading With Your Opportunity/Product” a typical MLM technique that almost never works and accounts for why 95% of people fail in MLM. Now don’t get me wrong, there are a number of reasons why so many people fail in MLM however, this one is a biggie!
As Mike stated, I do know David Wood. David Wood is an Article Marketing genius on the internet and a member of MLM Lead System Pro, an Attraction Marketing System that teaches Personal Branding and Relationship Building to build and grow your MLM business online. If you’ve had similar results with Leading With Your Product, perhaps it’s time to look at implementing an Attraction Marketing strategy to your MLM business building activities.

Did I blow him off? Well, yes, maybe! Remember, I don’t know him or his company and all he did was beat me over the head with his opportunity while name-dropping someone he thinks I might know (remember he said he doesn’t know how I know him?)
I am a very busy Network Marketer (as I’m sure you are too) and successful to the point where I don’t have time to stop and look at every opportunity or new MLM that comes my way. I’m sure you can understand. And Mike did not try to establish rapport or any trust with me, he simply told me what he wanted me to do and that was that!
